Alleviating Shortage of Water, Globally

Today, over 2 billion people, nearly one quarter of the global population lack access to safely managed drinking water, while another 1.7 billion people live in regions where water demand exceeds supply for at least part of the year.

This scarcity of water impacts food production and welfare for livestock, whereby according to the FAO, 820 million people worldwide face chronic hunger, a challenge exacerbated by drought, water insecurity and climate change.

Africa, Europe, Middle East Americas, Asia, Australia and many other countries are all feeling the strains of the lack of available, clean & safe water.

Yearly, billions of tonnes of water simply melts away into the Oceans. Not only is this a waste of a highly precious resource, but it can also be damaging to aquatic life in surrounding areas due to the salinity of the water being changed as a result of dilution.

1 in 6 people globally do not have access to safe drinking water. Additionally, many, even first world countries, have started circumming to droughts & serious water shortages.

Isolation of the ice caps for millennia makes glacial melt water a pristine and unique water source for drinking & plentiful for agricultural uses due to the shear volume.

Reliable, Responsible & Sustainable

For UUater, the concepts of operating in a responsible, sustainable and environmentally-friendly manner, are not simply marketing slogans; they are core and fundamental to our vision and beliefs.

The world's glaciers are currently melting and the water is flowing into the surrounding oceans, causing desalination and destabilization of local waters. The effects of this can be damaging to coral, can change migration patterns of fish and other marine life, and so can disrupt the natural food chain, local fisheries and food markets.

UUater is focusing on collecting this melt water (with the help of renewable energies to power the operation) to help deliver to those markets globally, in highest demand of safe drinking water and water for agriculture, irrigation and farming.

Crops and livestock are two of the largest consumers of water within agriculture and currently there is a serious shortage globally to sustain current demands, with forecasts for the shortages to worsen year on end.
